Ishmeet Singh hailed from Ludhiana, a famous city in Punjab where he was born to a Sikh family. He singing passion and desire drew him to the auditions of one of the famous singing talent shows on Television ‘Amul Star Voice of India’. His singing potential was traced by the judges and he was selected as a contestant in the show. His soft and soulful singing created a huge chunk of fan following for him who made him a winner of this show. He received the winning trophy from the leading playback singer also known as ‘Nightingale of Bollywood’, Lata Mangeshkar.
Ishmeet Singh was a great devotee and had a spititual spirit. To pay ‘Shukrana’ (to thank) almighty he released his debut album ‘Satgur Tumre Kaaj Saware’. He was also one pf the participants in the singing hunt show ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star’. Though he got eliminated but his singing talent was highly admired by the judges.
Ishmeet Singh was offered a show that was to be held in Maldives on August 1. He went there to be part of that accompanying his two famous co-contestants Vyom and Sumitra. He was afraid of water but according to his fellow contestants he expressed the wish to swim and got drowned. His family members discovered several injury marks on his forehead and suspected his reason of death.
His family member made a visit to Maldives and requested to conduct a detailed enquiry about his death. The enquiry and inspection is still going on but they have not received any strong clue yet.
