The Indian Ocean band is the latest Fusion band originated in India. It has Susmit Sen, Asheem Chaudhary, Amiyt Kilam and Rahul Ram as its main members. Susmit Sen, the guitaris in the band have always aimed at initiating and inventing new and more appealing forms of music creations. His guitar strings has always worked as a black magic on the listeners. Second in the band is Asheem Charabarthy, who is a tabla player who is the lead singer of the band. Indian Ocean admirer calls him the Golden voice of the band. He was having a pure musical background that helped him to touch the peaks of perfection at a very early age. Amit Kilam, is the drumist in the band, who is loved for the variations he devotes in the band performances. Rahul Ram is the bass guitarist and has the potential to display all the deviations in the musical notes that enhances the beauty as well as the grace of their stage performances. The initiators were Asheem Chaudhary and Susmit Sen and their combination of both resulted in getting their selves few stage show opportunities. In the year 1991, HMV recorded their first album in Kolkata. They played in four concerts in the initial five years. In the year 1994, Shaleen left the band and followed by the departure of Susmit and Asheem. They had kids and music became just a source of income for them. They then appeared in many documentaries and advertisements. India ocean band came in the limelight when they first performed at the Mandi House in Delhi where they received a tremendous response from the audiences. From then they never looked back and continuously climbed on the ladder of success. Indian Ocean band toured in many big and targeted states of India like Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Maharashtra and displayed their singing potential there. Indian Ocean band received were first signed by Times Music and the album got released in the year 2000. This album got fantastic response and was among the top albums of the year. Some of their famous albums are Jhini, Desert rain, Black Friday and Kandisa that are trend setters and reminds us the great effort and performance of Indian Ocean band.
