Babul Supriyo was born to a family that had a musical chord as his grand father NC Boral had been a famous composer in the Industry at his times. His father was employed in a bank and was also a commended composer of Bengali music Industry. Babul Supriyo has been a winner in many child talent shows in his school days and was awarded for his ultimate singing style during his college.
Babul Supriyo completed his masters in Commerce got engaged in a job in Standard Chartered Bank. In the meanwhile he realised that bank job his not what he actually desired in his life and thought of to change his career option to playback singing.
In the year 1991, Babul Supriyo headed to Mumbai and went to many Bollywood music personalities to gain a break for him. He was lucky to get noticed by the renowned composer duo Kalyanji Anandji, who offered him to sing for a song. This opportunity brought him to the public eye and he was approached by many big names of the Industry for playback singing. He is highly influenced by the singing style of Kumar Sanu and considers himself his duplicate.
Babul Supriyo voiced for many remarkable compositions among which some are Pari ‘Pari hai ek Pari’ (Hungama), ‘Kaho Na Pyaar hai’, ‘Chanda Chamke’ (Fanna), ‘Hum Tum’. He has anchored the famous singing reality show ‘K for Kishore’.
Babul Supriyo married to Rhea but got divorced and stayed with his daughter. But few days ago he had a re union with his wife and are now living happily. He has performed on many big stages but is not as popular with the audiences as he, on several occasions has affronted some people present among the spectators.
