A band of Boys involves four talented singers who were selected from a huge chunk of tough competitors numbered almost in 1000’s. One- fourth applicants were short listed and finally four were selected to make a union named as ‘Band of boys’. They had to go through a tough time during their training period when they had to practise for a continuous 16 hours. A band of Boys received a full fledged training in Hindustani classical music. They all had to take the physical fitness and body building training so that they can have a quick and easy approach to the audiences. They got their dancing and aerobics lessons and were all set to rock the world. A band of Boys came up with their debut which was launched with the support of famous Asha Bhosle. This album was titled as ‘Yeh bhi wo Bhi’ which was a ruling album in September 2002. Some of the commendable tracks of this album were ‘Meri neend’, ‘Ishq’, ‘She drives me crazy’ and ‘Gori’. These numbers were the most demanded tracks on the charts and ‘A band of Boys’ became a star band overnight. A band of Boys came up with their next debut film titled as ‘Kis Kis Ko’ which took a two week long time to get over with the shoot. Next they launched ‘Gaane Bhi Do yaaro’ one of the tracks of which was ‘Nain Katari’ which rocked the charts for a couple of weeks. In the year 2007 the band got merged with another band ‘Nexus’ and made a quick jump to another genre from the typical approach of singing. They have also performed in many national and international events and have gained immense popularity and fan following. At present they are involved in music direction for Bollywood movies and are busy giving live performances worldwide.
