Ila Arun born in Jaipur, is a popular singer and actor of Bollywood Industry. She did her schooling from Maharani Girls College Jaipur. She was first noticed by the famous composer’s duo Laxmikant Pyarelal who discovered the unlimited talent and freshness in her voice. She was fortunate to start her career with these legendary personalities in her first movie ‘Khalnayak’. She voiced for the track ‘Chholi ke peeche kya hai’ that later received court summons as the lyrics were quite objectionable and was considered unacceptable as per the social norms. Ila Arun was now a famous voice and her magical voice drew a number of big music directors at her door. She launched a private album that featured the tracks Bichhuda, Banjaran and Nigodi. She loved to file her presence in the videos of her songs. Ila Arun also made guest appearances in many Bollywood movies like Lamhe, Batwara, Mohabbat ki Aarzoo and Dalal. Ila Arun gained utmost admiration and popularity from the audiences. She disappeared for a short period but was back with a bang with her album ‘Haule Haule’. She has been a judge on the singing reality show ‘Fame Gurukul’ and also managed the training of its contestants. She has also acted in some big movies and most recent appearance she gave was in the movie ‘Jodha Akbar’. Ila Arun has been honoured with the Best female Play back singer title in the year 1994 for the song ‘Choli ke Peeche kya hai’ which continued to rule the charts even after being in controversies. Ila Arun is married to Arjun Bajpai, a navy officer and is also a videographer.
