Bombay Rockers is an Indo-Danish blend that has Thomas, Navtej and Janus as its members. The band member Navtej got in touch with the WCA production team and met Thomas there. Navtej has his forte in singing Punjabi songs whereas Thomas has a professional grip in delivering the English vocals. They decided to present a mix of both in their first album which was titled as ‘Ari Ari’ which was a breakthrough hit of that year. This album proved to be a bonanza for the band members that year. This album was highly admired buy the listeners and recorded its name in the list of highest selling albums. This indo-western band has made a special place for its tracks in the music collection of party freaks.
Bombay Rockers have appeared in many stage shows and have entertained the masses. They made their first public performance in a Roskidle Festival for a crowd of almost 20,000 people. Then after they performed in several major concerts and toured in a number of countries. The shows were superb and worked well for the band members.
Bombay Rockers released their next album titled as ‘Introducing’ in the year 2003. Its track ‘Sexy Mama’ again became the love of masses and received sky-scraping admiration. ‘Rock the Party’ from the same album was another popular DJ number that added stares to their album. It received splendid airplay and became request number of lots.
Bombay Rockers have become a popular name in Pakistan and India. More than 10,000 copies of their album ‘Introducing’ have been sold which is quite commendable.
Crash and burn is their recent addition and is already receiving an amazing response from the audiences. Its track ‘Kushi’ has got awe-inspiring air play and has rocked the charts. Their debut album is released in 32 countries in the year 2005 and almost 4 lakh copies were sold in just 12 weeks. Bombay Rockers are famous for putting an electrifying effect in their both on stage and off stage performances. They beautify them by infusing the Indian folk, Belly dance and Break dance performances in it.
