Baba Sehgal was born as Harjit Sehgal in Lucknow and was an engineer from BITS Pilani before he entered the Indian music industry. He was the one who stepped in the industry and tried different form of music that includes Rap and pop. He was the most demanded voice in 90’s and was a revolutionary artist. He released his first album that received a tremendous response from the audiences and was a hit on charts. Baba Sehgal has also been a famous television personality and anchored for the show Superhit Mukabla. The few famous numbers he has voiced for are Dil Dhadke, Manjula and Thanda Thanda Pani. Till date he has released twenty two albums but all of them were not equally successful. He has also tried his luck as an actor and performed in a lead role in the movie “Miss 420”. In addition to this he has acted in the serial ‘ye dil chahe more’ and is also a part of ‘Jugni chali Jalandhar’ being telecasted on Sab T.V. He has also been a famous model of his times and has made several stage appearances on a number of concerts. Baba Sehgal took a break for a couple of years and stayed at New York. He decided to make a come back with his album ‘Welcome to Mumbai’ which was quite popular. He has also been the music director for the movie ‘Bhoot Uncle’. He was also one of the participants in the first season of television reality show ‘Big Boss’ but got eliminated after short stay. He was a wild card entry there but was not successful in pleasing the fellow contestants. Baba Sehgal has also participated in the singing reality show ‘Dhoom Macha De’ and was famous there for rocking the stage with his lively and energetic on stage-performances.
