Apache Indian has his origin in England. He entered the world of music with his cousins Diamond and Simon who are now well known with the name DJ Swami. Apache Indian introduced the new form of Indo-western music in his album which is known as Bhangramuffin. His debut album ‘No reservations’ got released in the year 1993 which was chased by his second album ‘Make Way for the Indian’ and was a grand hit. After his debut album he was officially signed by Island Records for a handsome signing amount of £250,000, probably the highest amount paid to sign a non-white artist. Apache Indian’s fourth album ‘Karma’ that is a perfect blend of traditional music with hip- hop and pop in various reggae. He is renowned to sing party numbers and is a strong social critic. Apache Indian has worked with many top artists like Blackstreet, Boyz II men, UB40, Sean Paul, General Levy and Brian and Tony Gold. He has also worked with many Asha Bhosle, A.R Rehman, Malkit Singh and Jazzy B. Apache has toured U.S with Sean Paul, the U.S chart topper.His famous party number ‘Boom- shacka-lack’ was also presented in five Hollywood movies Dumb and Dumber. Apache Indian has also tried his hand in acting and has made a guest appearance in Tamil movie ‘Love Birds’ in which he danced with Prabhu Deva. His singing style is highly fluent with his Punjabi accent that is one of the reasons why the lyrics as well as beats tops the Indian Charts. His collaboration track with Jazzy B ‘Dil Lutiya’ is one of such examples. Apache Indian has a long list of Honours received. He has been privileged with many titles such as ‘Best Male Newcomer, ‘Appreciation Awards’, ‘Best rapper’, ‘Best asian mainstream singer’, ‘Ambassador Awards’ and ‘Best Live act movie’. Along he also got nominated for the award of Central Britain Media and Arts Asian. Apache Indian has worked recently with the two leading Bollywood playback singers Sunidhi Chauhan and Alisha Chenoy on his new musical project titled as Sadhu-The movement.
