Anand Raj Anand, a leading composer and music director of Bollywood industry was born in Delhi to a business class family. He from his school days was passionate about music and had discovered about himself that he have all the potential of becoming a renowned music director. During his school days he never sung the movie songs but used to make songs on his own. His compositions cherished his school festivals and occasions. Anand Raj Anand, during his college days was encouraged by his principal to initiate some musical activities that further helped him out in polishing his musical skills. His family wanted him to join the family business but he was determined to pursue a musical career and wanted to make his own different identity. He made a move to the ‘Mayanagri’ to look for better career opportunities for himself. But he was offered to choose between being a lyricist or a music director as he was not good with both them at the same time. He gave it a thought and decided to be a music director. Anand Raj Anand was first approached by Pravin Shah who recorded seven songs with him. He worked brilliantly in the movie ‘Masoom’, ‘Pardesi Babu’, ‘Jis desh me ganag rehta hai’, ‘Major Saab’, ‘Bichoo’, ‘Kaante’ and ‘Janasheen’. He also worked on pop numbers with ‘Hans Raj Hans’ and ‘Shweta Shetty’. In spite of severe competition in the Bollywoodn music industry Anand Raj Anand took the risk to make an entry and each hit he recorded showed that he is still in the race. His commendable compositions such as ‘Prem jaal me Phas gyi’, ‘Dil De Diya hai’, ‘Kya hai Paay btao na’ and Jaare sajna main nhi karma tera aitbaar’. At present Anand Raj Anand has been offered to compose music for the Punjabi pop albums.
