Anuradha Paudwal, born on 27th October, completed her studies from St. Xavier’s College. She got married to Arun Paudwal, who was a music arranger for S.D Burman. Anuradha stepped into the Bollywood music industry at a critical time when it was dominated by Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. Anuradha Paudwal singing career made a quick start in the year 1973, when she was approached to sing for the movie ‘Abhimaan’. She made her debut by singing a ‘Shloka’ for that movie. Same year brought her an opportunity to make a debut in Marathi Film tiled as ‘Yashoda’. Anuradha got immense popularity in Marathi cinema and was the most appreciated and demanded female play back voice there. She got encouraged to release a non film album titled ‘Bhav Geeten’. This album recorded a huge success and made her an established singer over night. Anuradha received a big break when she was approached to sing for the movie ‘Kalicharan’. She first time voiced solo, for the beautiful composition of Laxmikant Pyarelal in the movie ‘Aap Beeti’. She also voiced for many songs composed by Rajesh Roshan (Des Pardes), Usha Khanna (Souten) and Kalyan ji and Anandji (Kalakaar, Vidhata). Anuradha Paudwal sung some exceptional numbers composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. She voiced for a track in the movie ‘Hero’ which was a huge hit and opened many doors to welcome this incomparable voice in the Industry. She had lent her voice in many Bollywood movies like ‘Tezaab’, ‘Aashiqui’ and ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi’.
