Music review: Sangharsh- In Search of Truth

Released in the year 1999, Sangharsh is the Indianised version of the Hollywood movie Silence of the Lambs. The movie was directed by Tanuja Chandra with a brilliant star cast including Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta and Ashutosh Rana. The soundtrack of the movie did not become very popular with the music lovers but some of the songs deserve to be appreciated and are worth downloading. Out of the seven melodious soundtracks of the movie, “Dil Ka Qaraar” did well on the charts. This opening number of the movie is bestowed with the effortless singing of Sonu Nigam and Shraddha Pandit. The singers have successfully offered an x factor to the song which in addition adds crowning glory to the album. If you are really looking forward to download the songs of this blockbuster movie then starting with this song is a great option. Another duet song by these two melodious singers is "Hum Badi Door Chale Aaye". This song is a soothing ghazal which is embedded with lovely and touching lyrics given by Sameer. If you appreciate some light and soulful ghazals, then downloading this track would prove fruitful for you. If you are a Sonu Nigam fan then they should definitely look forward to make a download of the track “Mujhe Raat Din" from this movie music album. The song witnesses the story of versatile singing by Sonu Nigam. It can be categorized under the best works done by him and hats off to the lyricist. I would certainly recommend the download of this song as it has the power to attract the listeners at once. Though I believe the musical album of the movie is certainly not one of the best works of the great composers Jatin-Lalit but overall Sangharsh did good business at the box office.
