Music review: Rock On - Rocks the Charts

“Farhan Akhtar is Back with a Band” this time with his recently launched music album “Rock On.” The music album holds a magic in every beat. After a long time, the listeners would get to listen to a band music that will sway them. The movie is based on a rock band, so expectations are undoubtedly going to reach its peak. The singers Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have done a magnificent job. Just take a look on what this album has to offer before downloading the tracks. The title track “Rock on” has electrifying music and rocking beats that make the song a foot tapping number. The lyrics are quite motivational and can make you come across a number of positives about life. This track is certainly a good choice if you are thinking to download this track. “Socha Hai” is a fun song to hear. It is filled with a lot of energy and can be included in the list of best songs composed by “Shankar Ehsaan Loy”. Next in the list is “Yeh Tumhari meri baatein” which touches the height of romance and falls easy on ears. It is marvellously sung and leaves a great impact on the listeners. “Tum Ho Toh” is another soft number of this album which has been beautifully written and composed. The lyrics of the song are worth dying for. Overall, it is an amazing number that has full potential of entering your favourites list and is worth downloading. “Pichle Saat Din’ is a fun number and is composed focussing the youth of today who are absolutely going to crave for its download. A different attempt made by Javed Akhtar which has been highly appreciated by the listeners. The track is definitely topping the charts. “Phir Dekhiye” is categorised as an ordinary track of this album. It is the least popular song amongst the listeners and is a true disappointment that lies much below the Javed Akhtar level. Another foot tapping number, “Zehreelay” is a wonderful song delivered beautifully in the voice of Suraj Jaggan. The track is an ideal choice for rock music freaks and is a perfect mix of great music and rocking beats. Its music is the key reason to make up your mind for its download. “SindBand the Sailor” has got a binding force in its lyrics and music composition. It can not be graded as the finest song of the album, but to some it may work well. However I would not recommend its download. In other words, “Rock On” music rocks.
