Music review: Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai

The home production of Yash Banner productions is a movie that could not do wonders on the box office but the musical album of the movie comprises of certain excellent and melodious compositions that did a good business. The excellent romantic movie had its musical album composed by Jeet-Pritam. The soundtrack of the movie begins with “Ek Ladki” sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik is a decent number. Though the song had Javed Akhtar’s syrupy lyrics and Alka’s melodious tunes but it failed to fetch a position for its self in the chart toppers. The song is not worth downloading. Asha Bhonsle’s come back with the rocking song “Sharara” proved to be a great decision for her career as the song occupied the top position in the list of charts for a long time. It became a hit party number and everybody was humming its magical tunes. If you missed to download the track then step ahead and add download as it is a good option to download and enjoy. The techno friendly song is an interesting choice not because of Asha’s Singing but also due to the appealing lyrics. The title song, “Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai” is an average shaadi number that can easily hold the attention of its listeners without having any fast and energetic music. The excellent singing by Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan and Alka offered the song a decent touch. However I would not recommend the download of this song. The soothing effects and tunes of “Jaage Jaage” is one of the songs that were liked and admired make the song the best on the soundtrack. Jeet-Pritam did a fair job with excellent vocals by Sonu, Alka and Udit who offered it a romantic mood. Also Javed’s lyrics are pleasant that makes it a good option to download. Other songs like “Humne Suna Hai”, “Hum Dono Jaise” and ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ are other tracks from the movie that failed to attain applause and appreciation from the listeners.
